WHAT DO WE MEAN BY "RESCUED"?
Our knitted dish rags suffered some transport damage on the journey from their production site in India to Germany: They got damp because - naturally - we didn't have them wrapped in plastic. We just decided not to throw them away.
We "rescued" them, i.e. washed them carefully, had them checked in the laboratory, and can now sell them again, at a reduced price, of course! They're just as efficient - just not quite perfect.
Why do our knitted dish rags come from so far away in the first place? We have trusted partners in India who process the local cotton under fair conditions, directly on site. This is certified by the GOTS seal and is currently our most sustainable option.
